Soybean meal (SBM) and soy protein concentrate (SPC) have become common alternatives to fish meal for their balanced nutrient composition and lower cost. Unfortunately, SBM and some SPCs also contain anti-nutritional factors (ANFs) which contribute to inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract and a decreased digestibility of nutrients which can translate to reduced health and performance.
