Hamlet Protein appoints global swine manager

Hamlet Protein recently appointed Jessika van Leeuwen as category manager swine. The Denmark headquartered company has been investing in species specific knowledge, as it aims to increase its share of global piglet, calf, and chick markets.

Feed industry and livestock producers alike recognize the importance of young animal feed, as it determines the performance throughout the animal’s lifetime. Supplementation of high-quality specialty ingredients and precision feeding during starter diets can increase intestinal activity and development, improve digestion and absorption of nutrients, increase muscle development, and promote earlier development of immunity.

Jessika van Leeuwen, Dutch citizen, graduated from Wageningen University (NL). After a minor from the University of Florida (US) and a post-graduate from University de la Plata (ARG), she completed a PhD on Reproductive Physiology at Wageningen University. Jessika has held senior position at industry leading companies in animal feed and feed additives. “Hamlet Protein is recognized in the market for its flagship product HP300, that is known to consistently deliver value in piglet nutrition. I am looking forward to become part of the global team and continue to build on Hamlet Protein’s network and experience,” commented Mrs. Van Leeuwen.
